This week in Literacy some of the children have been matching the characters from fairytales to the correct setting and correct plots! We then jumbled different fairytales up to tell silly stories. They have also been looking at story mountains, where they have started to put together ideas for their own story that they begin to write next week! The teachers in the Hub are very excited to hear the finished product as their ideas are absolutely amazing!
Some children have been working on their Phonics too and the progression they are making is outstanding. We can read, write and recognise our friends names as well as lots of high frequency red words (e.g. the, was, my).
We had a walk to Manor Heath Park this week for our walk out, voted by the children! We are superb at staying safe and doing good looking and listening when crossing the road!
Well done to Elsie for winning our class award this week! Elsie has made amazing progress with her see and learn, reading and writing! Keep it up!
Have a lovely weekend!
