This week in the Hub we have been working on lots of different fairy tales, looking at which charcaters were in the story, where the story is set and what the story is about! The chidren had lots of fun re-telling these fairy tales by doing their very on puppet shows!
In Numeracy we have introduced our new topic, position and direction! This week we worked on position, the children all had their very own animal and were given some instructions of where to put them all around school! Some of our key words are: in, under, on, on top of, inside, outside, above, beside and between.
We had an amazing day on Thursday taking part in "skip 2 b fit". A sports coach taught the children all about relisilence, determination and progress, aswell as the importance of using his phrase "practice makes you better!" The children had a fantastic warm up to lots of music then were challeneged to see how many skips they could do in 2 minutes!
This week our 'Star of the Week' is Thomas. He has won the resilience award for his fantastic use of vocabulary when using his position words during Numeracy! He has also been the most sensible boy all week and we are so proud of him.
Well done Thomas!
Hope you all have an amazing weekend - we've heard some exciting plans from the class today!
